Teacher Programs
Resource Support, Networking, and Professional Development
It's hard work to be an educator! The CIC wants to build a community of support for Grays Harbor teachers, and we're committed to creating professional and social opportunities that are useful, place-based, and which demonstrate available resources. If you are a Grays Harbor educator (of any grade level) who would like to get engaged, please contact the CIC Education Manager.

Good Collaboration Makes Education Great

Workshops Grounded in Local Science & Nature
The CIC and our partners provide teacher professional development workshops that bring formal and informal educators into direct contact with natural & cultural resource professionals on the cutting edge of science. Workshops provide clock hours and, as much as possible, are free to attend.

OCEEN (Outer Coast Environmental Education Network)
Join our regular virtual meeting for an informal opportunity to talk with other coastal educators. Get support for classroom curricula by talking with federal and state content experts.

Connections That Go Beyond The Session
Feeling like your textbooks are a bit dusty? Want to get your students more excited about your curricula? The CIC staff can help reconnect your classroom to the nature and culture of Grays Harbor and reengage students in the process.
