Community Education
Hands-on Science & History For All Ages
We live in a special place. But it's the people that make our region truly unique.
The CIC wants to connect you, your family, and all local students to the lands and waters of Washington's Pacific Coast. We offer educational opportunities in four domains: Biology (living things), Geology (structures of the earth), Ecology (how biology and geology interact), and Anthropology (how humans have lived with and shaped this environment over time).

Our Cradle-to-Career Commitment
We want to work with your students, from 1st grade through college! Our programs are intended to visit students multiple times through the school year, but can be one-time visits or customized for your needs. All programs meet state standards. Intensive college internships are career stepping stones that prepare students for natural and cultural resource professions.

Districts & Schools We Work With
We partner with schools and districts across the region to deliver high-quality programs that support students, educators, and communities.
Partnership is Our Strength
The CIC partners with dozens of federal, tribal, state, and local natural and cultural resource agencies. As much as possible we bring partners into our youth and adult education opportunities. If you have a specific topic of interest, please let us know and we can coordinate with the relevant partner agency!
