Bryan Kern

Bryan is very interested in education and conservation and was the former chair of the Coastal Interpretive Center’s Education Committee (Oct. 2015 thru March 2017) and remains a committee member.  He is a graduate of Washington State University (International Business/Russian) and has a graduate certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Washington.  He has been visiting Ocean Shores since 1976 and is a part time resident between Seattle and Ocean Shores and tries to spend as much time as he can at the beach along with his two beach loving cats Thor & Loki. He is currently a Project Manager for a High Tech. firm base in North Carolina. Board term: 10/2015 - 10/2018

Carla Salter

A native of western Washington, Carla came to Ocean Shores from Seattle and the Kitsap Peninsula. Her family life has included enjoyment of the beach and Ocean Shores in particular since childhood. A professional background in administration for manufacturing and retail companies has made her well suited to the volunteer activities she's chosen in her retirement. Carla has volunteered at the Ocean Shores Chamber of Commerce and is now the bookkeeper for the Chamber, and was voted Employee of the Year in 2015. She also volunteers at the Interpretive Center every Monday since 2013. As a new board member, Carla will head the Retail Committee and manage the purchasing of items for Damon's Outpost. Term: 6/2016 - 10/2018
