Special Lecture

February 6, 6:30pm

Ocean Shores, WA - The Coastal Interpretive Center will host Lee First, Twin Harbors Waterkeeper, who will discuss the issue of a dam on the Chehalis River.  Please join us at the Ocean Shores Senior Center, 885 Ocean Shores Blvd NW, on Thursday, Feb 6 at 6:30.  Admission is free!

Lee First paddled the Chehalis River from the headwaters to the ocean in May, 2019.

She will tell the story of the amazing resources of the river, threats posed by the dam, development and forestry, as well as describe how restorative alternatives should be given full consideration before a dam is planned.

Lee is a professional wetland biologist, and has over 30 years in the water quality field.

Admission to each presentation is $10. Shilo Inn will offer an optional buffet dinner each night for an additional $15 starting at 6:00 pm in the lecture room.
